INFORMATION FOR BUSINESSES.
FAQ.
Do I need my equipment inspected?
Short answer, yes! In the same way you have to have a car MOT', you have to have work equipment inspected periodically.
Does the law apply to me, I am self employed or a sole trader?
Yes. The law applies to self employed and sole traders as well as larger companies. The size of your business does not matter.
What are the benefits to me?
A good inspection regime will help you to protect yourself, your company, your employees and your equipment. Of course you must operate within the law, but in today's "no win no fee" culture you need to do as much as possible to limit your risks and avoid costly legal proceedings.
How much does it cost?
ISIS charge on an individual basis. Location, amounts and types of equipment determine the cost of the inspections but rest assured, we monitor our competition to ensure we constantly give the best value for our services.
Here you will find an alphabetic list of businesses. Click a letter to see the listed businesses. For each business there is a list of equipment that is typically used .
Although certainly not exhaustive, it is a guide to help brokers and businesses alike to find out what their statutory (legal) obligations are.
If a business type is not listed, please contact us and we'll add it to the list.
